Abuse is a pattern of behavior used to establish power and control over another person through fear and intimidation. There are three types of abuse: physical, psychological, and sexual.
Physical: pushing, pinching, hitting, burning, strangling, etc.
Psychological: threats of suicide, controlling activities, attacks on self-esteem, threatens to take the children, etc.
Sexual: forced sexual activity, unwanted touching, sexual activity with physical assaults. |
